• Formulate and apply mathematical modeling and other optimizing methods using a computer to develop and interpret information that assists management with decision making, policy formulation, or other managerial functions
• Evaluate data processing proposals to assess project feasibility and requirements
• Translate user requirements into technical specifications
• Act as an intermediary between the client and technical staff
• Review work of systems analysts, programmers, and other computer-related workers

• Effective written and oral communication
• Ability to communicate data interpretations and analysis
• Technical and quantitative aptitude
• Critical thinking
• Problem recognition and solving
• B.A. or equivalent work experience in information technology, application usage techniques, organization behavior, and business management
• 5 or more relevant work experience
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles
• Analytical and interpretive thinking
